My name is Tasha. I was born in 1997. Before I came to Christ, I was very lost. My twin brother and I went through the foster care system. All the families were abusive and abandoned us. At 5, we were both adopted into my beautiful family up north. At 18, I was no longer allowed to live at my parents’ house because of my poor choices. I stayed with my aunt but became very rebellious and heavy into drugs and alcohol. I would sleep around with different guys and wanted men to fill the void in my heart. I was looking for love in all the wrong places. Drugs and alcohol became everyday things. I became pregnant at 19. My aunt and uncle adopted my son for me. I became a victim of rape and knew I needed help. I reached out to Lynhaven. They told me about Operation Angel. Although I knew of the Lord and had gone to church almost every Sunday, I didn’t know who Jesus was to me. I just thought I knew.
Now, because of the Lord’s grace and mercy, I have been saved and am a new creation in Christ. The Lord is restoring me with my family, but most importantly, I am restored to my first love, Jesus Christ.
