I never truly understood what redemption was until I really started to not only get to know, but fall completely in love with God. God loves us so much, He came down from His throne to become a man and endure torture, hatred, and a horrible death so that His children would be brought back to Him with the price of His blood. It’s like the song says: “I’ve been redeemed, you set me free.” God has bought me back from the pits of Hell, where I was living in total darkness. For a long time, I thought I deserved to stay there. But through the blood of my Savior, I have been set free from drugs, alcohol, abuse, condemnation, self-hatred, self-mutilation, murder through abortion, pride, and most importantly, the lies that Satan told me that I’d believed. I am a child of God. I no longer walk in darkness because of the blood that redeemed me; I now walk in total victory.
Isaiah 52:3
“You were sold for nothing, and without money, you will be redeemed.”
