Due to my own mistakes, I lost my first child to the state in 2004. On February 28th, 2005 he crossed over to be with God. Scared, hurt, lost, and also disappointed in myself, I prayed to God for a 2nd chance to be a mother. I also promised God that I would give that child back to Him by teaching him about the true meaning of serving God! In 2012, 8 years later, God blessed me with another baby boy! Me knowing that there is no place like home. Yet, I was still on the same wrong road. In 2013, before I had my child, I started smoking marijuana. I eventually smoked marijuana that had been laced in 2017. So, again I lost my child to the state in July of 2017. While working in the program, in 2018, I got him back in 2020. However, I was still not putting God first! He went into state custody again. Praise God, this time my mother was able to get him. Signing over my rights was the best thing to do so I could heal. Setting myself up to go to the mental hospital 14 times led me to the New Orleans Mission. Now in 2022, I am at Lynnhaven. I am putting God first in my actions and words while healing spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and also physically.
Psalm 88:1
“Lord, you are the God who saves me;
day and night I cry out to you.”
Thank you for being a part of my Redemption Story
