At the young age of 8 years old, I accepted Jesus Christ into my heart. The approaching 23 years I lived knowing He was my Lord and Saviour, but lacking a personal relationship with Him. I lived the way the world said I should instead of the way God said I should, which quickly lead me to alcoholism, drug addiction, and depression. I loathed the person I had become and felt stuck living a life I hated. Thankfully, I was never left nor forsaken by Jesus Christ, who was still inside my heart after all those years. He made a way for me to step out of the darkness and into His beautiful light. I now feel joy instead of sorrow, peace and not worry, love instead of hate, and above all, I am thankful. I am thankful for a relationship with the one true God and for His divine protection on my darkest days. Because He died for me, I choose to live for Him! I AM REDEEMED!
